Enter a name for your spreadsheet, like “My Travel Itinerary.”
In the first row, label the columns based on the information you want to track. For example, you can include the following:
You can adjust the column width to fit your content by clicking and dragging the lines between the column headers.
Start entering the details of your trip under each column. For instance, under "Date," you might enter the day of your trip, followed by the location you’ll be visiting that day under "Location," and so on.
Use different background colors for different sections of your trip (e.g., different cities or countries) by highlighting the cells and selecting a fill color.
Make your column headings stand out by making them bold. Simply select the cells and click the "B" button in the toolbar at the top.
To keep your column labels visible as you scroll, go to View > Freeze > Up to row 1.
Below is an example of what your travel itinerary might look like:
Linking to Reservations: If you have digital copies of reservations or tickets, you can insert links directly in your spreadsheet. Just select a cell, click the "Insert link" button from the toolbar and paste your URL.
Mobile Access: Download the Google Sheets app on your phone to access and update your itinerary on the go.
Use Templates: Google Sheets has travel itinerary templates that can give you a head start. Go back to the home screen at sheets.google.com. Click on "Template Gallery" and look under "Personal". You should find a "Travel Planner".
