Upload 3-5 example PDFs as well as your desired spreadsheet output to our onboarding form. We recommend providing matching example PDFs and outputs to speed up the implementation process.

2. Our AI and humans go to work

We’ll use your example files to create an initial custom scraper within 48 hours.  For more complex cases, we might schedule a quick 30-minute call with you first to make sure we understand all of your requirements.

3. Review and edit your initial scraper with a human (within 48 hours)

We'll schedule a 30-minute review call within 48 hours to go over an initial version of your scraper and get your feedback. This call is often used to clarify various edge cases that are unique to your specific workflow. To the extent there are technical limitations with your documents, we'll present some potential alternatives and discuss how to best proceed.

4. Receive your final scraper and learn how to use it (within 7 days)

Based on the feedback from our initial review call, we'll edit and finalize your custom tool. Sometimes we'll schedule an interim check-in call to further clarify things that come up as we're building. Then, once it's ready, we'll schedule a final review with you and do a handoff so you know how to manage and edit your scraper going forward.

Do you offer a free trial?

We don’t offer a free trial since each scraper is custom built to your specifications. However, we do offer a 30-day money back guarantee if you’re unsatisfied with the results for any reason.

Does this work with scanned documents?

Yes, our product works with scanned documents as long as the contents are typed and not handwritten.

What counts as a workflow?

One workflow is one fixed spreadsheet output from your uploaded PDFs. The PDFs do not have to be identical. Certain PDFs can return "N/A" in your specified output as long as the total number of fields is under your plan limits.

What if I have a large batch of documents to process upfront, and then a smaller number every month after that?

Not a problem! We recognize that a lot of our customers have a backlog they need to work through. 

If you purchase one of our annual plans, you’ll get access to all of your page processing credits upfront.  For example, our starter plan comes with 1,000 pages per month.  With an annual commitment, you’ll have capacity to process 12,000 pages per year and can spread that them out however you want throughout the year.

How do you handle AI hallucinations?

Lido is a spreadsheet that connects to a number of external services for data importing and processing. As a result, we are able to break up PDF processing into a number of smaller mini AI tasks coupled with mini, deterministic spreadsheet formulas.

This allows us to reduce the amount of AI inputs and outputs required for each step, which is the single biggest factor in reducing AI hallucinations. When combined with our ability to store data in-spreadsheet and utilize a variety of spreadsheet formulas for data transformation, we're confident that we have the most reliable product in the market today.

Can you split a large PDF into smaller PDFs based on page contents?

Yes, we can! As long as there is a consistent method of identifying where a PDF needs to be split (e.g. "Page 1 of 6", or "Confidential" at the top of the page) then we can locate it and automatically split your PDFs for you.

What does "Bring your own OpenAI key" mean?

We think that the fairest way to build with OpenAI models is for customers to pay only for what they actually use. An OpenAI API key allows you to use your own OpenAI account within Lido and get billed directly for only your actual costs — without any additional markups on our end.
