You cannot directly copy and paste a drawing within Google Sheets as you might with text or cells. However, you can duplicate drawing objects by editing the original drawing, copying the objects, and pasting them into a new drawing within the same or a different sheet.
While Google Sheets does not currently offer a direct feature to copy and paste drawings in the traditional sense, users can effectively duplicate drawing elements. Follow the steps below to copy and paste a drawing in Google Sheets.
First, locate the drawing you wish to duplicate or move. Double-click on it to open the drawing editor.
This brings up the Drawing dialog.
Within the Drawing dialog, select the objects or the entire drawing you wish to copy. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac) to copy the selected objects.
After copying the objects, close the Drawing dialog by clicking the "Save and close" button if you've made no changes or simply exit the dialog if you've only copied objects.
Navigate to the tab within the same Google Sheets document where you want to paste the copied drawing. If you're moving the drawing to a different sheet, open that sheet in a new tab. Go to the 'Insert' menu, select 'Drawing'. This will open a new Drawing dialog.
Inside the new Drawing dialog, press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac) to paste the objects you copied earlier. Arrange them as needed within the drawing area.
Once you're satisfied with the placement and arrangement of the pasted objects, click "Save and close" to add the new drawing to your sheet.
