Follow the steps below to create a test using Google Forms in 5 simple steps.

1. Name Your Test and Add Instructions

With your Google Form open, start by entering a title for your test in the form’s title field. Optionally, add instructions or a description to guide your respondents.

2. Add Questions and Select the Question Type

Click the "+" button to add each test question. Choose the appropriate question type (e.g., multiple choice, short answer) for each question you create.

3. Go to the Settings Tab and Toggle "Make this a quiz"

Click the "Settings" tab and toggle the "Make this a quiz" option on to allow Google Forms to automatically grade the test and assign points.

4. Edit the Quiz Settings According to Your Preferences

After toggling "Make this a quiz," a list of settings will open, such as when the grades will be released, what information your respondents/students will be able to see, and how much points will be assigned to each question. Modify them according to your preferences for the test.

5. Click the Eye Icon to Check the Test Yourself

Click the eye icon at the top right to see the live version of your Google Form. Check your test for any mistakes.
