Follow the steps below to use our employee training tracker.
Begin by entering the details of each employee undergoing training. Fill in their name, department, and the specific training they're receiving in the respective columns. This step helps keep track of who is learning what.
As employees progress through their training, update the "Date Completed" and "Status" columns. If an employee finishes a training session, enter the completion date and change their status to "Completed." For those currently in training, mark them as "In Progress." If an employee has yet to start, their status should be "Not Started."
With filters enabled, you can quickly sort employees by name, department, training status, or completion date. Select the "Filter" icon.
Then, select the filter icons next to the column names you want to apply filter on.
You can choose among the options on how you want to filter a column.
This is useful for managing large sets of data and focusing on specific groups, like everyone in a particular department or all employees who have not started their training.
Conditional formatting is already set up to make the "Status" column visually intuitive. You can further customize these settings by adjusting the colors or adding new rules. For example, you might want to highlight upcoming training dates or long-overdue sessions.
Make it a routine to review and update the tracker regularly. This ensures that the tracker remains an accurate and up-to-date resource for managing your organization's training programs.
