Follow the steps below to center across selection in Google Sheets.
Click and drag to highlight the cells you want to center text across. Make sure these cells are in the same row.
Click on the 'Format' tab in the top menu bar. Hover over 'Merge cells' and select 'Merge horizontally' from the options.
Select the center icon in the text alignment menu. This merges your selected cells and centers the text across them.
Check the content in the merged cells. If there were different text entries, only the text from the upper-left cell will remain. Edit or add text as necessary.
Finally, review the changes to ensure the text is centered as desired. Use the undo or redo buttons in the toolbar for any adjustments.
