Follow the steps below to use our org chart template for Google Sheets.
Start by opening your Google Sheets document. You'll find "Sheet 1" as your organizational chart and "Sheet 2" for the data manipulation.
Go to "Sheet 2" to see your data setup. It has two columns: "Role" for listing positions and "Reports To" for indicating the reporting structure. This sheet determines the org chart's structure.
To adjust your organization's structure, update "Sheet 2" by adding or removing roles and their reporting lines. Changes here will automatically reflect in your org chart on "Sheet 1."
For customizing the org chart's look, click on the chart in "Sheet 1", then choose "Edit the chart" > "Org" > "Customize".
This allows you to modify layout, colors, and size as desired.
When you're ready, download the chart by clicking on it, selecting "Download chart", and choosing a format. This enables you to save and share your org chart externally.
