In this article, we will show you how to make a survey in Google Forms in just a few clicks. Simply follow the steps below!
Navigate to the Google Forms website. Sign into your Google account, or create a new account if you don't already have one.
Click on the plus icon or select "Blank" to create a new form from scratch, giving you a clean slate for your feedback survey.
Click on "Untitled form" to add a title. Below the title, add a description to provide context to respondents.
Let's say we want to get feedback on our customer service. The title of our form can be: "Customer Service Feedback."
Then, we can write in the description: "We strive to provide excellent customer service and would love to hear about your recent experience with our team. Your feedback is invaluable for us to improve our service."
Here's what it looks like:
Write your first question and set the question type of your choice using the dropdown menu next to your question.
To add more questions, click on the + button located in the toolbar on the right side of your form.
Following our example, we can ask "How satisfied are you with our service?" We will choose the "Linear Scale" question type to allow respondents to rate their satisfaction level: from "Very Unsatisfied" to "Very Satisfied."
Tip: You can toggle on the "Required" option at the bottom of the question box to ensure that all your questions are answered.
Go to the "Settings" tab at the top. Here, you can choose to collect email addresses, limit responses to one per person, or allow respondents to edit after submission, depending on your needs.
Click on the palette icon in the top-right corner to choose a theme color or background for your survey, which can make it more visually appealing to respondents.
Click the eye icon to preview your form. This lets you see the survey from a respondent's viewpoint and check for any issues or typos before sharing it.
