In this article, we will show you how to lock a Google Form using the Locked Mode feature in just a few clicks. Simply follow the steps below!
Locked mode is a feature that is available for Google Forms when used in conjunction with Google Classroom and only works on managed Chromebooks. When a quiz is in locked mode, students are unable to navigate away from the quiz until they submit their answers.
Here's how you can turn on locked mode in Google Forms when you are creating a quiz:
In the Settings tab, toggle on “Make this a quiz.”
Additional options should show up. Under “Chromebook Settings,” turn on Locked Mode. If you're not seeing the locked mode option, it may not be enabled by your institution's administrator, or you might not be using Google Workspace for Education.
After setting up locked mode, you can go back to your Google Classroom and assign the quiz to your students.
Please remember, this feature is exclusively available in the education domain and cannot be used for personal Google accounts or outside managed Chromebooks.
