In this article, we will show you how to connect Google Forms to Jira. Simply follow the steps below.
Below, we explain how to connect Google Forms to Jira using Zapier:
Ensure you have administrative privileges in Jira to create issues and manage integrations. You should also have a Google account with access to Google Forms.
If you haven’t already, sign up for or log into Zapier at Zapier's website.
Go to your Zapier dashboard and click on Create > Zaps.
Choose Google Forms as the app that triggers the automation.
You can select either "New Form Response" or "New or Updated Form Response" as the event that will trigger the Zap.
Then, continue to connect Your Google Account. Follow the prompts to allow Zapier to access your Google Forms data.
For the Trigger, select the Google Form that you want Zapier to monitor.
Run a test if you like.
Choose Jira from the list of apps to perform an action when the trigger event occurs.
Choose the action or event you want Zapier to perform when the Zap runs. For the purpose of this guide, we will choose "Create Issue".
Then, connect your Jira account. Authenticate your Jira account by entering your login credentials.
Once you have signed into Jira, you can configure the specifics of the Jira issue that will be created, such as the project key, issue type, and fields like summary, description, etc., which can be mapped from Google Forms responses.
Zapier will offer you the option to test your Zap to make sure it functions correctly. If the test is successful, publish your Zap to start using it.
