In this article, we will explore whether Google Forms shows results after submitting responses. We will also cover how to use this feature and view results as a respondent. Simply follow the steps below.
Google Forms allows form creators to choose whether respondents can see the results or a summary of responses after submitting the form. This setting is customizable and depends on the preferences of the person who created the form.
Here's how the form creator can enable this feature:
With your Google Forms open in your browser, find "Settings" next to the "Responses" tab at the top of the page. Click on it to access various configuration options for your form.
Once in the settings menu, identify and click on the "Presentation" tab. This tab contains settings that control how your form appears to respondents.
In the "Presentation" tab, find the option "Show link to submit another response." Checking this box ensures that after submitting the form, respondents have the option to submit another response.
In the same "Presentation" tab, find and toggle on the option that says "View results summary." This allows respondents to see a summarized view of all responses collected after they have submitted their responses.
Note that changes to your settings are saved automatically. Once you've made your adjustments, you can simply close the settings window.
After a form creator has enabled the option to view the results summary and submit or edit another response, respondents can easily view the results. Here’s how to view results as a respondent:
Ensure that you have filled out all the required fields in the form. Review your answers for accuracy.
Once you are satisfied, click on the "Submit" button to send your responses.
After submitting, you'll be directed to a confirmation page. This page will typically express gratitude for your participation and may include a message from the form creator.
On the confirmation page, you may see a few options. If the form creator has allowed it, there will be a link to "See previous responses". Additionally, there may be a link allowing you to edit your responses. Click on the relevant link as per your need.
If you choose to edit or review your responses, you'll be taken to a page displaying the answers you submitted. Here, you can go through each question and ensure your answers are as intended. If editing is allowed, you can make changes and then re-submit your answers.
Upon clicking "See previous responses", you'll be redirected to a page that provides a visual summary of all responses. Take your time to review this data which provides an overview of how other respondents have answered.
Once you have reviewed the response summaries, you can either close the browser tab or click on another link to navigate away from the results page.
