In this article, we will show you how to set up Google Forms integration with Salesforce. Simply follow the process below.
Follow the steps below to easily integrate Google Forms with Salesforce.
If you haven’t already, create accounts on Salesforce and Zapier. Salesforce offers various plans, including a free trial. Zapier also has a free tier with limited zaps (automations).
Open Google Forms and create a new form. Plan the form fields based on the data you want to collect and send to Salesforce, such as names, emails, or specific inquiries.
In Salesforce, decide which object (like Lead, Contact, or a custom object) you'll use to store the data coming from your Google Form. Ensure the object has fields corresponding to the data you'll collect.
Log into your Zapier account. Click on "Create" to start creating a new automation. Zaps consist of a trigger and one or more actions.
For the trigger, choose Google Forms as the app and select the trigger event, usually "New Form Response."
Connect your Google account under "Account" and select the specific form you're using.
For the action, choose Salesforce as the app. Select an action event, like "Add Contact to Campaign", depending on your needs. Connect your Salesforce account to Zapier under "Account".
Zapier will show you a list of fields from your Salesforce object. Map each field to the corresponding Google Form question. This ensures the data collected from the form is correctly sent to Salesforce.
Before activating, it’s crucial to test your Zap. Submit a test response in your Google Form. Zapier will let you pull this test data through the trigger to verify that the correct data is sent to Salesforce.
If the test is successful, go ahead and turn on you Zap. Now, every time someone fills out your form, their data will be sent to Salesforce based on your setup.
