In this article, we will show you how to create a Google Form for event registration in just a few clicks. Simply follow the steps below!
In the Google Forms home, you'll find a gallery of templates at the top. Look for the "Event Registration" template and click on it. If you don't find it immediately, expand the template gallery by clicking on the icon next to it.
The template will have preset questions for an event registration form. You can click on any question to edit it to suit your specific event.
To add new questions, click the + icon on the right. You can add various types of questions like short answers, multiple choice, or dropdowns.
Click on the palette icon in the top right to change the color theme or add a header image to match your event branding.
Click on the "Settings" tab at the center to see more options. Here, you can enable options like collecting email addresses, sending confirmation emails to respondents, and limiting to one response per person.
If you need to add more structure to your form, you can organize it into sections by clicking on the icon with two stacked rectangles in the toolbar.
Click on the eye icon at the top to preview your form. This lets you see what respondents will see and ensure everything is in order before sending it out.
It’s also a good idea to test the form yourself here to ensure all questions are clear and the form functions as intended.
When you're ready, click on the "Send" button. You can choose to email the form (1), share it via a link (2), or embed it on a website (3).
As responses come in, you can monitor them in the "Responses" tab. The data can be viewed in real-time or exported to Google Sheets for detailed analysis.
To export to Google Sheets, simply click "Link to Sheets."
