In this article, we will show you how to autofill Google Forms in just a few clicks. Simply follow the steps below.
Auto-filling Google Forms can be achieved through different methods, each with varying levels of complexity and practicality depending on what exactly you're trying to do. Here are some methods:
Google Forms itself has a feature that allows form creators to prefill certain fields and then send a unique link with this pre-filled information to respondents. Here’s how to do it:
Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the form editor.
In the drop-down menu, choose "Get pre-filled link."
Enter the answers you want to be prefilled in the form.
Click the "Get Link" button at the bottom of the form.
A new pop-up should appear at the bottom-left corner of your screen with the pre-filled link. Copy it.
Send this link to your intended respondents. When they open it, the specified fields will already be filled out.
Remember that each pre-filled link will only contain the information you entered when creating it. If you need to prefill different information for different respondents, you will need to repeat this process for each unique set of pre-filled data.
There are browser extensions available for browsers like Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox that should store form data and automatically fill in forms for you. These are generally used for forms you fill out regularly with the same information (such as personal contact details).
