Here's how to extract data from a legal document using Lido's PDF importer tool:

Step 2: Use the OCR Tool

Open your new spreadsheet and click on the "File" menu at the top. Select the "Import from PDF" option from the dropdown menu to prepare for scanning text from your legal documents.

Step 3: Upload Your Scanned Legal Document

Click on "Click to Upload" within the importer tool and choose the scanned PDF document you want to upload from your computer, or simply drag and drop the file directly into the tool.

Step 4: Select and Extract Data

After uploading, an interface will appear allowing you to select specific sections of the scanned document for data extraction.

Adjust the selection box by dragging its corners to cover all necessary parts of the document, then click "Extract data" to begin the extraction process.

Step 5: Review and Insert Extracted Data

A new window will display the extracted data. Ensure all the information is accurately captured and complete.

Each line of text will be placed in a separate cell. Sections formatted as tables will be extracted accordingly.

After verifying the data, click "Insert at active cell." If you need to extract more data or adjust your selection, click "Back" to return and repeat the process.

Your data should now be displayed in your spreadsheet.
