In this article, we will show you how to extract data from financial contracts using the Lido app. Simply follow the steps below!

How to Extract Data from Financial Contracts

To extract data from financial contracts, we will use Lido, a spreadsheet tool designed to streamline and automate repetitive tasks. You can register for a free account here: https://www.lido.app/go/signup.

For this guide, we will be using Lido's built-in PDF extraction tool. Make sure your financial contract is in PDF.

Step 1: Create a New Spreadsheet

Log into your Lido account and go to the Files page. Start by creating a new spreadsheet by selecting "New file." This will help you organize and analyze the data you extract from your financial contract.

Step 2: Use the PDF Importer Tool

Open your new spreadsheet and click on the "File" menu at the top. Choose the "Import from PDF" option from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Upload Your PDF Contract

Click on "Click to Upload" in the file importer tool and choose the PDF contract you want to upload from your computer, or you can simply drag and drop the file directly into the tool.

Step 4: Select and Extract Data

Once the PDF is uploaded, you'll see an interface to select the specific sections of the PDF you want to extract.

Adjust the selection box by dragging its blue corners to encompass all the necessary parts of the document, then click "Extract data" to initiate the extraction.

Step 5: Review and Insert Extracted Data

Check the new window to ensure all the data has been correctly extracted and is complete.

Each line of text will appear in a separate cell. For sections formatted as tables, they will be extracted as such.

Once you verify the data, click "Insert at active cell." If you need to extract additional data or adjust your selection, hit "Back" to return and repeat the process.

We hope that you now know how to extract data from financial contracts.
