In this article, we will show you how to add birthdays to Google Calendar. Simply follow the process below.
Follow the simple steps below to add birthdays to your Google Calendar.
First, click the "Create" button, symbolized by a plus sign (+). Then, select "Event" from the dropdown menu. This will lead you to the event creation window, where you can start adding a birthday.
In the event creation window, enter the person's name and the word "Birthday" in the title field. This helps in easily identifying the event. Also, add any other relevant details in the description box if needed.
Select the appropriate date for the birthday from the calendar. As this is an all-day event, there's no need to adjust the time settings.
To make sure the birthday is remembered every year, change the repeat settings. Click on the "Does not repeat" dropdown and select "Annually." Ensure that the event is set to repeat on the same date each year.
Before setting reminders, click on "More options." In this expanded view, set up reminders by choosing the advance timing for the notifications, such as a week, a day, or a few hours before the event.
After filling in all the details, including reminders, click the "Save" button. This action will add the birthday to your Google Calendar and set up annual reminders.
Finally, look over your calendar to ensure the birthday event is correctly added. The event should be visible on your calendar on the selected date and marked to recur every year.
